Upper Mustang Tiji Festival Trekking

Upper Mustang it's a District of Nepal and called "the land of lost Tibetan kingdom". It was forbade till 1992 for Tourist an secret kingdom. Now also it's open for only limit tourist with special permit by Government of Nepal . It's Landscapes, Authentic Monasteries and their spiritual power, dry and windy valley beyond the horizon, The Mustang Kingdom and Special King, The lifestyle of caves Lo-Manthang Village, The Indo Tibetan Buddhist Villages and Charming Smiling and walking up and down via many passes is jewels of Upper Mustang Area. People also called "the mud city" for lo-Manthang. Because all the settlements are made by clay and mud . Unless the once Forbidden Kingdom of Mustang, tucked away from teh rest of the world, lies just north of the main Himalayan range of Nepal. Lo-Manthang was the Tibetan kingdom of Gungthang until 1830's . The history to Lo-Manthang is a embellished in myth and legend rather then the recorded face. Even, now also the King ruling his Kingdom lo-manthang.

Every Year as per Mountain monarch Calendar, in mustang lo-manthang they organize tiji festival a three days long ritual known as "The chasing of the Demons". One of the most important festival of the upper mustang valley. Tiji festival is the best time for mustang trek to witness the festive time monks dressed in elaborate costumes and masks perform dances and rituals that are supposed to drive away evil spirits. dressed in their finery, people form all over Mustang Valley gather in lo-Manthang village to celebrate the Tiji festival. On the Occasion, The King of lo-Manthang will come out to observe the Great Tiji Festival as official with precious Crown on the Head. when he visit the villagers then firing by gun for demon the festival will begin and end.

Day 02: Kathmandu full day sightseeing hotel B/B plan.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara and over night hotel B/B plan.
Day 04: Flight to Jomson morning, Trek to Kagbeni village along the kaligandaki windy valey, Mustang Trekking, Restricted area:
Day 05: Kagbeni - Chele trek, Enter Upper mustang, walk along the Kaligandaki Fossil stone valley, local lodge stay.
Day 06: Chele - Gilling - via summer climbing, local guest house stay.
Day 07: Giling - Tsarang via Ghami and Ghami La, cross longest prayer stone mane walls in Mustang- Tea house stay.
Day 08: Tsarang - Lo-Manthang - Mustange family owned guest house.
Day 09: (May 14 2015 ) Lo-Manthang Day hiking - Camping Start Tiji Festival Begins.
